So I have decided to pull the preverbal trigger and jump into the world of form 1 NFA items. For reference I have other NFA items, but they were all form 4 with paper copies. I have already found the cans I will be making, and a few of them will most likely be melted down in the process of testing them to see what they can withstand. If anyone else has gone down this path before, I have a few things to ask. Bear in mind I will be going the Eform route to make my life simpler since I am planning on firing off 10 or so form 1’s.
- What company did you go through for digital fingerprinting, and how much was the process total?
- Where was the best pricing yall found for engraving work to serialize the item. The model for the cans I found use a washer that gets epoxied into place for the engraving surface.
- What other information would yall think would be valuable to anyone looking into the form 1 route (self manufacturing) if others reading this post decide to do the same thing?

Fired off one form today. Fingerprinting ran me $65 plus tax and the closest place for me to get them done was an hour away. Since I was already going the eform route, I had to have them done digitally, but the nice thing is I can use the same file every time I send off for a form one or form 4. The eform site is sooooooo much nicer than it used to be to utilize
will update once I have recieved the form back and can start purchasing products to make it.

I have a few suppresssors, and I just did my first Form 1 so im legal with my short barrel. Cost me 25$ for that, and the supresseors was also like 25? The supressors took me 72 hours for apporval and I took it home. The Form 1 will be around 2 months they said, and they should have their serial tooling working, or they will tell me a few places. You need Legal name, city and state on it. THink placement, so if you want to switch out barrels dont put it on their for example. If you wanan switch lower then put it upper. If you wanna switch that then other place.

I have had good luck with Silencer Shop for form 4 submissions. They also offer a digital form 1 service for $50 per form. All the details are available at the website.

I filed my form 4s through the eform portal, since I was going to fire off enough of them for some design testing that it would have started to bark at the price of buying a can over the counter
currently awaiting 10 forms to get approved
ya the way I have designed the ones I have been working on, there is a washer that gets perm attached at the back near where it threads onto the barrel for the required info to go on it
I have several lowers I want to SBR, as well as a Glock 40 for which I want to order a B&T folding stock. Only 5 forms, but I hate dealing with our helpful friends in DC. I must admit it is much improved, since my first couple of SBRs came back when it was all on paper and took 18 months.
ya I just couldnt justify spending the funds to use silencer co kiosk for all my forms, other wise I would just buy a can over the counter again lol

I am holding off for a bit on buying the things on amazon as I picked up a motorcycle trailer for pretty cheap, but have to buy a hitch and all to be able to use it. I will prob make another thread once I get ready to print them.
