Im a physician who does alot of sleep apnea cases. But heres why i am posting this. Telematics for sleeps studies are normal to diagnose, During the study, after the initial study, cpap machine if needed then cruise control , adjust if needed. Well, this new smart device not only goes in your mouth, it does telematics all night then uploads into the cloud forever ! one of the parameters are wear time. Now insurance companies and HR departments who issue company policies can see this, and rase your rates for non compliance or drop you !! They also know when you sleep and yes location !!! what a massive privacy invasion orally ! Even when you are on vacation. probably sounds from you spouse and is still active if powered on and outside your mouth. Before i told the short skirted sales rep that came to my office to not return, i thought, well, is there anything else i should ask here as for as tech or data collection ?? I take my privacy very seriously , after what apple and google are doing with biometrics. The rep also gave me a different brochure, not the one the patient gets or sees. i will upload it, you can see the tech here, my goodness, its a computer in your MOUTH ! Most people sleep with cell phone on silent, i do for sure. This device they claim is for safety, but no where will it alarm you via app if your dying. If someone hacks this, guess what, they know not only if your home, but if your sleeping !!!

I’ll just deal with my apnea… already have insomnia as well, so it’s whatever. I got no need for any of this crap.

It’s a wonder they say for safety yet it doesn’t do anything safe and opens the door for more crime.
