Manufacturing harware ? another way around perhaps

War on manufacturing and machine tools.. Just want to say, remember guys, location can mean alot. Coastal state ? if u can prove u manufactured something 3 miles offshore, u are no longer in US jurisdiction !! Food for thought, happy 4th of july guys.

However, you would then be importing…

Well you’re not in State Jurisdiction. Federal is 12 Miles offshore.

true, parts vs assembling is another issue. I commonly see here on the gulf coast, oil rigs 100 miles off shore making part and machining daily in the oil field. These completed parts are brought inshore in the US after rig comes down or in long term downtime. No laws are touching these companies ?

these parts and completed parts get lost in the shuffle and end up re used commonly. no trail recorded. us coast guard and customs dont even inspect these guys coming in from a 2 or 4 week shift. i suppose if we manufacter offshore on a rig or abandoned rig with a chevron or exxon label on it, no one seems to care here.
